Not very exciting info - when I have time, I continue my work on the family geneology - hence my icon of the family crest. I'm a teacher - and seriously too old to be so involved with my two obsessions: Blue October and Stephenie Meyer's books. I talk about both to whoever will listen. Blue October was the first professional band performance I've been to - never interested enough to go see anyone else. And now a member of the Street Team!!
My introduction to the Band came through Stephenie's playlists for her books. So glad she posted those. Saw the Breaking Dawn Concert Series with Justin performing some of Stephenie's favorite songs and fell in love with the music, the lyrics, and Justin's soul-touching voice. So glad he found his "never" - still hoping to find mine!!!
Obviously, Blue October. Can't seem to hear enough of all their old and new songs.
There are others - Muse, Green Day, Nickelback, 100Monkeys, Cold Play - to name just a few.
Not a big movie person, however, if it's Science Fiction/Fantasy, I'm there. Have to admit that the new Star Trek movie was pretty good and I was a fan of the original TV series.
Looking forward to the Harry Potter movie(s) still to come. Same with the Twilight Saga movie(s) - although, if you read Twilight (the book), the movie was okay - not great - now hoping with better directors, the next few films will be that much better.
Can't say enough about the Lord of the Rings Trilogy -
Stephenie Meyer is my favorite author now. Older favorites are Asimov; Tolkien; Clarke, Jordan; Brooks; Goodkind; Collins - again, to name of few. I actually miss the old true Science Fiction writers - most all are gone now.
